Press In to Pour Out
“But Jesus said, “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.” (Luke 8:46)
I am thinking about this statement by Jesus so long ago. What a stunning word!
Jesus is on his way to heal a dying girl at the request of her desperate father. In the midst of the crowds that “almost crushed him” (verse 42) a woman presses through and touches the hem of his garment. And, she is instantly healed and blessed by the Lord.
It is a short, powerful passage (verses 40-48). It is also one of the most famous in the Gospels. Read it over slowly. Could it be it has become so familiar that we slide by and don’t grab the revelation of the heart of God.
Touching the Divine
The Lord says, “Come to Me, Touch Me! This is the call of the Lover to His Beloved, the Bridegroom to His Bride. This is the CRY OF INTIMACY.”
“This is the place of ETERNAL ONENESS. This is My heart for you, Beloved. The place where we are so close, where we are touching each other in the secret chambers of Love.”
“Do you think I did not know who it was who pressed through the crowds to touch Me? No, Beloved, I knew; but, I asked the question to reveal My Heart. To reveal how thrilling it is to Me when you press into My Presence, when you reach out and draw Me close to you. Ah, Beloved, in that instant I pour out such love! The power of the Divine flows freely from the place of My Love. And, in that touch ALL IS HEALED. All it takes is one touch.”
The Lord says, “For too long you have stood at a distance. You have heard My call to you: ‘come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest’; but, you have assumed I was calling you only to come for salvation from sin and that My purpose then was that you must toil and labor on your own till your strength is gone. And only at the end will I rescue you and bring you rest.”
“You allowed the spirit of religion to tell you that your rest, your reward of eternal life-that place of intimacy and oneness-will only come at the end. That your lot in life here and now is to be one of struggle, and only after this life is over will you experience rest, eternal life, the place of oneness with Me. It has been a lie to keep you in a place of isolation and bondage to poverty and disease. A lie to keep you trapped in a place where you feel like an orphan- abandoned and without hope and joy.”
“Open your eyes for I AM close to you. And, I long for you to press into Me as did the woman in the crowd. This precious Daughter of Abraham is your window. She is truly the vision of YOU, of who you are called to be. She pressed into Me and the result was power beyond her dreams. It was the POWER OF CONNECTION. She was completely healed and it came simply through TOUCH.”
“All this was for your benefit. She was the foretaste of your fullness. Her deliverance a sign of your freedom in Me.”
Carrying the Divine
“Listen, Beloved, carefully to My Voice. I call you not only to salvation; but, to POWER. I did not save you from your sins only to leave you powerless to live for Me. No, My Power is RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW to bring true healing in every area of your life. Therefore, make every effort, in these days, to press into Me. And, I will not fail you.” says the Lord.
The Lord says, “Do you see, Beloved, how the woman, My Daughter, pressed into Me in the MIDST OF THE CROWD? The connection was made and the liberation came not in a cloistered place, a hidden spot far from all eyes; but, in the very presence of all. She was a sign and a wonder to ALL. She arose to walk in her destiny fully in the presence of all.”
“Now is the day of the release of My Glory on the land. Now is the day for the revealing of My Bride to the nations. I AM revealing you in ALL your beauty. For you ARE glorious, Beloved. You ARE altogether wonderful, without flaw, without spot. And, I AM revealing you to ALL. And, a Great Harvest shall come to you, drawn by your beauty. They shall come drawn by My Glory poured out in and through you.”
“But to experience all this you must COME TO ME. Now, in this hour COME, PRESS INTO ME. Let nothing stand in the way.”
“We are ONE, Beloved. You are My Glory and I AM your Glory. You are My Inheritance, and I AM yours. It is time to arise and experience the fullness of our love. Press into Me.”
“You look for a touch from Me? I look for a touch FROM YOU. Draw near, Lovely One, for I AM calling you to a deep place, a secret place. Come into the My Secret Place. Come dance the Dance of Intimacy with Me. For this is the place of POWER RELEASED. And, in these days I will release through you such healing power upon the land that the very trees will clap for joy, the mountains will shout in praise, the wilderness will burst into bloom.”
The Lord says, “We TOGETHER shall do this. It is now the time for GLORY REVELATION and CREATION LIBERATION. It is NOW the day to carry the secret place into the public place. Now is the day when you and I TOGETHER, as one, shall dance upon the land in freedom and bring healing, complete healing. And, I will be lifted up and all men will be drawn to Me. And, the weary and burdened shall come and find rest.”
“This shall happen in these days, as you press into Me and then as ONE NEW MAN, we carry My Glory, My Love to the nations.”
