Altar of Fire
“Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight-why the bush does not burn up.” when the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush….God said, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” (Exodus 3:1-5)
I love this passage. Here is Moses on the back side of the desert, far from his previous life as a son of Pharaoh. And, it is in this desert place, this wilderness, that the angel of the Lord comes with fire. And, God speaks, and Moses is forever changed.
About ten years ago, while living in Vermont, I was a part of a small group of believers who gathered on Thursday mornings at Zion Episcopal Church in Manchester, Vermont for prophetic intercession and worship. We were up around the altar worshiping, and I had the following vision.
I saw the church filled to capacity. And, Jesus came in at the back of the church and began to walk slowly down the center isle. As he did, he would reach out and touch the shoulder of the person in the isle seat, on the left and right. When he did this, fire came from him. The fire moved from person to person down each row. As the fire moved, some would embrace it and be set aflame while others would pull back from it. And, Jesus simply said, “Come into My Fire, don’t be afraid. Come into My Fire and be forever changed.”
I hadn’t thought of that experience for a long time-till now. And, I asked the Lord what He is saying for me, for us, today in this year of 2010. He led me to another passage, Psalm 60:2-4, which ties together with the one in Exodus and with the vision I had.
“You have shaken the land and torn it open; mend its fractures, for it is quaking. You have shown your people desperate times; you have given us wine that makes us stagger. But for those who fear you, you have raised a banner to be unfurled against the bow.”
This is what I am hearing Papa say. It is rather long; but, stay with it for I believe we stand on the threshold of a powerful season of the release of God’s Glory and the expansion of His Kingdom in ways we yet to experience.
I also believe that, more than ever before, we are being called to faithfulness, love, and purity. The power of God’s Word is rising up like a trumpet call: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
Burning Bushes
The Lord says, “I have shaken the land of men and caused great fractures to rip through the land. All that can be shaken is being shaken; for the systems of men cannot remain, the kingdoms of men cannot stand before Me.”
“I have torn the garments of the little kings, and I have revealed their lies, schemes, deceptions long hidden; for there shall be no other gods before Me. What has been hidden in the darkness is now being revealed in the light of My Glory Fire.”
The Lord says, “My people have seen desperate times. My people have been shaken in the land and staggered like men who have become drunk on wine. Like men who have lost their vision, My people have staggered. For, My people have given themselves over to the little kings and the systems and rule of men. And, they have been shaken and are staggered. The form of godliness has failed them; for there is no power in their form. No power to heal, no power to deliver, no power to save, no power to live.”
“And, there are those who say to My people, “Where is your God? Has He forgotten you? Where is He in the days of shaking? For you are like us; and, like us you shake, like us you stagger.” There are those who claim there is no God for there seems to be no help in times of trouble except for the help of men-and that help is failing, crumbling into dust.”
“They are wrong,” says the Lord. “I AM with you. I have not forgotten you, My Children, nor have I forsaken you. But, I have caused a great shaking; this great quaking to bring a GREAT AWAKENING and a GREAT HARVEST.”
“Come into My Fire. My Fire will consume you; but, do not be afraid for you will not be consumed. You will be burned up; but, not consumed. You will burn up in order to BURN UP. Burning upward and outward in My Glory.”
“All that is not of My Glory shall be consumed in My Fire. All that is of this world in you shall be swept away in My Fire. And, I will bring forth the PURE GOLD in you. For I AM the GOLD, the GLORY GOLD. And you will carry My Glory Gold for all to see in purity, in power, in authority.” says the Lord.
“This is the Day of Purity revealed. The place where you are standing, Beloved, is HOLY. Therefore, BE HOLY FOR I AM HOLY. I AM taking away all that is not of Me that you will walk in the fullness of My Presence. The days of compromise, of distraction, of complacency are all gone. You have not experienced the fullness of My Glory until now for you have pulled back from the fire and not embraced the burning. But, all that is gone; for I AM drawing deep into the Fire those who fear Me, who worship in Spirit and Truth, who come through My Eternal Blood.”
“Therefore, come, Beloved, into the Fire. And, ARISE IN THE FIRE, DANCE IN THE FLAME of My LOVE. For this is the Day of Great Awakening, the Day of Great Revealing of My Glory upon the land, of My FIERY BRIDE OF GLORY. For My Bride is Glorious, My Bride is Radiant, My Bride is Flawless, My Bride is ABLAZE with the Splendor of My Holiness.”
“To those who place themselves upon My Altar of Fire I give authority and power in these days to release My Glory like a flood upon the land. You are to be a Sign and a Wonder; you are to walk with kingly authority and power. I have been pleased to give you My Kingdom. Therefore, COME INTO THE FIRE, for this fire releases your true destiny,” says the Lord.
Burning Banners Unfurled
The Lord says, “Just as I called My servant Moses out of the wilderness to be My Fire upon the land, so I now call you.”
“A fire will burn within you with increasing brightness in these days. The very Flame of Yah shall break forth from you. And, you shall become a consuming fire upon the land. You shall pour out My Name like a fragrance upon the land. My Name shall be as a fire; a fire of HEALING, of DELIVERANCE, of LIBERTY, of LOVE poured out and consuming all fear, all death, all disease. And it shall pour forth through you for I have placed My Name within you. You are Mine. You are called by My Name, and you shall be the fragrance of My Name poured out upon the land.”
“You shall go forth into the shaking land, the torn land, the fractured land,” says the Lord, “And, you will go to the desperate, to those staggered by the shaking in the land. And, they shall see My Fire upon you like a Banner Unfurled against the bow. A Banner of Love covering you like a blazing fire, a consuming fire. A Banner unfurled against every attack of the enemy.”
“And, those in the land shall say, ‘What is this strange sight? Why are these so radiant, so powerful and strong, so prosperous and victorious? How can this be in these desperate days, these shaking days?'”
The Lord says, “This is how I will draw all men unto Myself in these days. For you will be My Banner, My Glory upon the land.”
“But, you MUST come into the fire and not draw back. I take no pleasure in the soul that turns away; but, I pour out beyond all measure upon all who draw near and place themselves upon My Altar of Fire.”
The Lord says, “As you do this, My Children, I will release such abundant power upon you and through you that the land that has been fractured will be healed and brought into glorious liberation.”
“I AM releasing through My Fire ALL you need in these days to BE My Banner Unfurled. You shall lack nothing. The storehouses have been opened and provision, mighty abundant provision is pouring out even now.”
“In this land staggered physically and financially, where men are held in bondage to disease and poverty, you shall walk FREELY. You shall walk in My Divine Health. You shall walk in My Divine Provision. You shall lack nothing; but, will be a Sign and a Wonder upon the land. While others shake in fear, without hope in a desperate time; you will move with authority and power-without hindrance, without opposition. In VICTORY you will walk and not stumble or stagger as other men.”
“This year you shall lay your hands upon the sick and they shall recover; you shall cast out demons and cure diseases; you shall be the prosperous lender and not the impoverished borrower. You shall raise the dead-in the natural and in the spiritual. No weapon forged against you shall prevail, or any opposition stand in your way. Watch and see, for My Fire is released upon the land. You carry that Fire, and you shall not stumble or fall. You shall not fail.”
“Just as Moses, My servant, was called out of the wilderness; so, too, I call you. For I have heard the cries in the land, and I AM moving swiftly BY FIRE to set the captives free. NOW is the DAY, NOW is the TIME, NOW is the revealing of My Sons of the Kingdom. Come into the Fire, Beloved, and Dance with Me in the Fire upon the land.”
