It’s Time to Breakthrough
There’s a change in the weather this early Friday morning. The sound of distant thunder, or rain moving in, a front moving through our area. It’s early, still dark; and, I have been struggling through the night. Struggling with the same issues of life so many of us struggle with. It’s not a bad struggle; in fact, it’s a good one. It is the struggle of FAITH.
And, in this place,I am being drawn to Psalm 118:14-16,19-21,24-28: “The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation. The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of the Lord does valiantly. The right hand of the Lord is exalted; the right hand of the Lord does valiantly…Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will go through them, and I will praise the Lord. This is the gate of the Lord, through which the righteous shall enter. I will praise You, for You have answered me, and have become my salvation….This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Save now, I pray, O Lord; O Lord, I pray, send now prosperity. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! We have blessed you from the house of the Lord. God is the Lord, and He has given us light; bind the sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar. You are my God, and I will praise You; You are my God, I will exalt You.”
What beautiful words. I am sensing the Lord saying, “Yes, I AM moving valiantly on behalf of My people. As the thunder is rolling across the sky, so is My Voice rolling across the land. And My salvation is at hand.” “Do not say, ‘These days of shaking are too great for me.’ Do not say, ‘I have been left out of God’s blessings, my hopes and dreams have been ignored, my prayers have not been heard.'” “No,” says the Lord, “do not even let such thoughts gain a foothold in your heart and mind. For I have OPENED THE GATES. You are NOT shut out. My GATES are OPEN. And your provision is at hand..your provision is at YOUR HAND. For I AM your salvation, I AM your strength and your song. I AM not only answering your prayers in these days; but, I AM THE ANSWER. And your provision is coming to you as a flood. Suddenly, like lightening flashing in the midst of the storm clouds, so is your provision coming. MY GATES ARE OPEN.”
The Lord says, “Therefore, rejoice. For this IS THE DAY. The day of valiant victory; the day of swift provision; the day of BREAKTHROUGH; the day in which you will call out to Me, and as soon as your cry is formed in your heart-before even the words issue from your mouth–I WILL ANSWER.”
“Therefore, do not fear, My children. As a SACRIFICE OF PRAISE, bind yourself to the ‘horns of the altar’—BIND YOURSELF TO ME WITH THE CORDS OF PRAISE. Cry out, “You are My God, and I will praise you!” Cry out, “You are my God, and I will exalt You!” For it is praise that is the sword thrust through the heart of the enemy. Praise is the battering ram that shatters doors barring the way to freedom.” “Therefore, My children, let praise be your weapon of warfare bringing you swift victory. Breakthrough, breakthrough, breakthrough!” The Lord says, “Watch and see in the days ahead how swiftly I move on your behalf…MY GATES ARE OPEN. Say to your soul, ‘I WILL go through the gates.’ Say to your soul, ‘I WILL take hold of my inheritance.’ Say to your soul, ‘REJOICE, for the Lord is My God-and my prosperity is in Him.'” “My children, taste and see that I am good”
So, I WILL praise the Lord on this beautiful, stormy Friday. I WILL say to my soul–REJOICE!!!! How about you?
