A Life of Love

“Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” (Ephesians 5:1-2)

We are created by God for a deep, intimate relationship with Him. To live and move and have our being in an ever expanding adventure of love which results in us becoming a powerful, tangible revelation of His Presence to all creation. Paul speaks of this as being, ‘imitators of God’. An imitation is a copy so precisely rendered that it looks and feels just like the original. It is not the original, it reflects the original. And, the closer it is to the original, the stronger the reflection.

The closer we are to God, the stronger is our reflection of Him. We are made for this, it’s woven into the fabric of our DNA; and, it becomes an increasingly powerful reality as we take hold of who we are in God, and who He is in us.

We are ‘dearly loved’. There is not a thought God has about us that is anything other than love. We are NOT garbage, worthless sinners, less-than, worms, outcasts, forgotten and overlooked. We are NOT a disappointment to God; or, because of our constant falling short of His glory, His enemies. When God looks at us it is only through eyes of love. It might be good for us to pray: “Holy Spirit, open my eyes to see as You see, through the Blood of the Lamb. That I may let go of the false identity placed in me by the enemy, and embrace the truth of who I am in You. I am dearly loved, and all the negatives about how I think, feel, look, behave are false; and, because they are false, they are lies which are washed away in the Light of Your Glory.”

This changes everything for it opens the door to a deepening intimacy with God. And, in that intimate place we begin to really understand who God is in us. Or, put another way, the truth of what “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Col. 1:27) is all about.

God has made us His dwelling place. We are His Temple where He rules and reigns. “For it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure”, writes Paul, reminding us of the rule and reign of God within. This work of God is the life of Christ. It becomes more and more powerful and abundant the deeper we go in intimacy with Him. Greater fusion in God releases greater purpose and power in life.

This is a new day.

Holy Spirit is saying, “I am calling you, My Beloved, out from the places of performance and platforms that are built according to the patterns of the world and the pleasures of man; and, into the Secret Place of My Presence. Let go of the past! Let it all go and come away with Me, away from the fear, the anger, discouragement, disappointment, pride and arrogance of self-seeking opinions that only divide and despoil. For it is in My Secret Place of Union that your life takes wings so that you will soar on wings like the eagle, far above all the turmoil of man.

“This calling, my Beloved, is one of deepening union which will release in the days ahead a torrent of love upon the land.”

“I am about to release great joy, great peace and hope throughout the land. I am even now positioning you to be the agents of this releasing of My Love. You are My sons I am about to reveal to all the earth.”
“Therefore, my Beloved, come back to Me. Swiftly run, make haste, make haste into My Presence! Rest in Me. But know this rest is not an escape from the world; but, an infusing rest, an energizing rest, a preparing rest, an anointing rest. For, I am about to release you to go forward to shatter the darkness in the land with the Light of My Love…and, nothing will stand in your way!”
