For Now is the Time, My Beautiful One

“Arise, my dearest. Hurry, my darling. Come along with me! I have come as you have asked to draw you to my heart and lead you out. For now is the time, my beautiful one.

The season has changed, the bondage of your winter has ended, and the season of hiding is over and gone. The rains have soaked the earth and left it bright with blossoming flowers.

The season for singing and pruning the vines has arrived. I hear the cooing of doves in our land, filling the air with songs to awaken you and guide you forth.

Can you not discern this new day of destiny breaking forth around you? The early signs of my purposes and plans are bursting forth. The budding vines of new life are now blooming everywhere. The fragrance of their flowers whispers: “There’s a change in the air.”

Arise, my love, my beautiful companion, and run with me to the higher place. For now is the time to arise and come away with me.” (Song of Songs 2:10-13 The Passion Translation)

Perspective is everything. How we view what we are looking at greatly affects what we see. “You can’t see the forest for the trees” is, perhaps, an appropriate illustration of what I mean.

We have been in a winter season. Many have felt hidden away, held back, restrained because of a harsh, cold environment in which hopes and dreams seem buried deep in frozen ground. A time when the light of day seems very short, while darkness seems to rule the landscape. Winter can, indeed, be harsh.

That has changed. The season has changed. Winter has given way to a Great Awakening.

The question is, will we see this change? Here’s where perspective comes into play. I go back to the earlier illustration–the inability to see the forest for the trees. That’s an expression used of someone who is too involved in the details of a problem to look at the situation as a whole. If we are so focused on the harsh environment, the problems and issues of the day, we will lose sight of the larger picture.

The larger picture is this: The Glory of the Lord is filling the earth. Light is shattering darkness as Hope is being released like a flood. It is the ‘rain’ of Heaven watering the earth causing creative beauty to spring forth with radiant glory. The Redeemed of the Lord are waking to the voice of the Bridegroom as His Song is filling the air with Hope.

The clarion call is ringing out: “Wake up, O Sleeper! Hear the Song of the Lord. Rise from the place of broken dreams and hopes differed. Throw off your garments of mourning and put on My garments of Praise! For you are My Song and I am releasing your voice in this hour. I am bringing you forth in the Splendor of My Majesty to sing the Song of the Lord to all the earth.”

“Arise, My Beloved. Lift your eyes to Me. Let go of the old season and embrace the new. For the New Season is now. The time of Healing is now. The day of revealing your purpose in Me is now. You are My Signs and Wonders bringing forth My purposes and plans upon the earth. For, you are My sons who have been hidden in Me through the winter season for such a time as this.” Says the Lord.

These are glorious days. Perhaps, a change of perspective is in order.
