Fragrance of Intimate Love
    There is a “fragrance” in the air. We can smell it, taste it, touch it. It is like the moist, humid early morning air of summer–a misty-water heavy atmosphere. So sweet. It wraps us up, envelopes us, saturates us with its presence.
   Now, this strikes me because of what Solomon writes is his glorious Song, “May he kiss me with the kisses of his mouth! For your love is better than wine, your oils have a pleasing fragrance, your name is like purified oil; therefore the maidens love you. Draw me after you and let us run together! The king has brought me into his chambers.” (1:2-4), and, “How beautiful is your love, my sister, my bride! How much better is your love than wine, and the fragrance of your oils than all kinds of spices! Your lips, my bride, drip honey; honey and milk are under your tongue, and the fragrance of your garments is like the fragrance of Lebanon.” (4:10-11)
   He, of course, is speaking of a deep place of intimacy, the cry of the heart of the Lover for the Beloved. It is this cry that is arising within the hearts of the Blood-redeemed. A Remanent within the Church who are tired of the arid soil and acrid smell of religion. Longing for the Fragrance of the Lover, these are the ones who desire more than anything the kisses of the King. A. W. Tozer wrote of these seekers,
“There are still the seven thousand who have not bowed their knees to Baal. These believe they were created to worship God and to enjoy His presence forever, and they are eager to learn all they can about the God with whom they expect to spend eternity.”
   As I’ve sat with this, I feel the Lord speaking to my heart. If what I hear resonates within the heart of no one other than me, so be it. But, I share what I hear, for I believe I am not alone but one of a growing number who will stop at nothing until we have captured and been captured in the Presence of the Lord. This is what I hear the Lord say.
“I am releasing a fragrance upon the earth in these days. A NEW FRAGRANCE–one that, like the sweet air of an early summer morning, will envelope you. This fragrance is much more than merely a “scent” in the air. No, it is the very ATMOSPHERE OF HEAVEN. For it is DIVINE LOVE being poured out.” “This is a time of DEEPER INTIMACY,” says the Lord, “as we, you and I, draw closer and closer. Just as My song to you reveals-the SUBSTANCE of HEAVEN is released in the passionate embrace of Lover and Beloved.”
The Lord says, “For too long, religion has relegated My love for you to a place of doctrine. For too long, my Bride has languished in a place of desolation, and abandonment, like one cast aside; because of the lie of religion. That lie is that all My goodness, all My passionate outpouring of love is only for a future time. This lie has turned My Love into an intellectual exercise of dead religion; and not the passionate embrace of Lovers. But, I am changing all that. For I am pouring out My Fragrance as never before. It is the very SUBSTANCE of HEAVEN–I am pouring it out with such a VENGEANCE OF LOVE, such a powerful release from My very Heart, that it will wash over the land like a cleansing flood.”
“I am about to do a new thing,” says the Lord, “in the pouring out of My new fragrance. This saturation will cause widespread worship, as the hearts of men and women throughout the land will begin to “taste and see that the Lord is good.”, and will fall under the Power of My Love.”
“I am releasing My justice upon this land in these days. In this time when the false authorities of men are making rules and regulations seeking to throw down My Rule and exalt themselves, I WILL MOVE SWIFTLY to reveal their lies and deception. Know this, My children, My justice is not just about “throwing down” but is also about “building up”. Therefore, understand that the outpouring of the Fragrance of Heaven, the Substance of My Love is part of My justice–that in the very face of the enemy, men and women will come under and into My Fragrance, will arise in this hour saturated by My Presence. And will move forward to conquer all opposition not with old weapons of warfare; but with NEW WEAPONS–the weapons of My Word and My Love.”
“So, My children, embrace My Love as never before. Hold back nothing in this hour! HOLD BACK NOTHING! For only by ABANDONING everything to My Fragrance will you RECEIVE everything from My Fragrance. SEEK ME with ALL your heart, and I WILL be found. And will wrap you, submerge you, inundate you, inebriate you, liberate you, and empower you to be My victorious warriors of Love.”
